REGISTERED CHARITY - NUMBER 1158855
Welcome to FBRGB we are a registered charity who specialise in the rescue of French Bulldogs. We are a non profit organisation none of the management team have never bred or shown dogs our interest is wholly with the rescue aspect of the breed . Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home French Bulldogs in need from private rescue groups, and owners here in Great Britain. (We did start off with dogs predominately being rescued from Spain but we have now decided to concentrate on Great Britain due to the number of referrals we are receiving) All the dogs are neutered, chipped , vaccinated and come with 5 weeks free insurance with AGRIA Our goal is to place healthy and happy French Bulldogs into well-matched, carefully screened forever homes. We only rehome to mainland UK and Northern Ireland, due to homechecking and follow up visits in the following years etc .
We would like to set out what you WILL NOT get from adopting a rescue: (1) a free dog - there are always fees to pay (2) a puppy (it is rare we see dogs under 2 years old) (3) a certain colour/sex (i.e. "I want a brindle male") - this is not a mail order service. Many rescue dogs do have issues i.e. behavioral /health etc. and if you cannot accept the above then a rescue dog may not be right for you. This is a general statement of what "rescue" actually entails.
Since we are a volunteer organisation funded entirely by contributions, we count on your continuing support as well as your adoption donations to help defray the costs of caring for our foster dogs. Please note that we do not charge you to register with us on the adoption database or to surrender a dog. . We do not buy dogs from adverts or breeders under any circumstances. FBRGB will endeavor to work with and assist any other similar French Bulldog organisations where possible, for the benefit of the breed.
All of your adoption applications are confidential and we do not pass your information onto any third parties and like wise we do not advise anyone of where surrendered dogs have come from.
We have two pages on facebook the first one is a information & advice forum for those people who have already adopted a dog or looking to adopt one, https://www.facebook.com/groups/249790878517571/ and the second is a fundraising page where the funds raised will pay for expenses for home checkers, food costs and/or any vet bills whilst the dogs are with foster homes. https://www.facebook.com/groups/591206527606927/
